What can I put in my skip bin?
Acceptable General Waste:

Do we provide green waste skip bins?
Yes, please ring the office for green waste prices.

• Lawn clippings
• Garden waste
• Branches
• Mulch
• Weeds
• No rubbish

 

Do we supply hardfill skip bins?
Yes, hardfill/cleanfill is to be put in 3m3 skip bins only.
Acceptable Hardfill/Cleanfill

• Bricks
• Tiles
• Soil/Dirt
• Concrete
• Rocks
• Paving, etc
• No rubbish 

 

How long do I have the skip bin for?
Mini skip bins: 5 day hire schedule. Day 1 is delivery day 
Large skip bins: 7 day hire schedule. Day 1 is delivery day

 

Do you take gas bottles and batteries?
Yes, please place gas bottles and batteries beside the skip bin

 

How high can I fill the skip bin?
Skip bins should not be any higher than level with the top edge. This is a NZTA requirement for transporting the bins safely.

 

Are you an approved/registered WINZ supplier?
Yes, please call the office for a WINZ quote

 

Do I need to be home when the bin gets dropped off?
No, we just need clear instructions where you would like the bin placed.

 

Are there any items I cannot dispose of in a skip bin?
What do I do with hazardous materials?

You cannot put any hazardous waste into the skip bins. To dispose of these you need to contact your local council. Hazardous chemicals include Asbestos, Solvents, Paints, Acids, Laboratory Waste, Oils, Grease traps etc.
